The Story Explorer Club has been designed to help kids explore stories, it’s not just about the reading and writing, it’s about understanding and comprehension. It’s about delving into a story and being part of it.
I’m a huge lover of audio books … you can read a previous blog post of mine here:
It was called ‘No time to read, then try listening!‘ Obviously this title is aimed at adults, as there are so many adults who don’t take the time to read, even though they want to!
I don’t think children listening to audio books constantly is good for their education, but to integrate it into their learning is definitely a plus. Listening to other people tell stories helps to widen their knowledge of character emphasis, plot design and language expression, all of which bring a story together.
