Yes, can you believe it … we have just over 11 weeks until Santa arrives!
Are you thinking what I’m thinking? Where does time go?
So in 8 weeks it’s time for the official countdown …
I love it from the 1st December when my girls get so excited about how many sleeps we have left!
Usborne have created an awesome colour-in calendar. Admittedly I had made my own video of this, but then I found this and it’s soooo much better than mine!!
Me and my girls love this and will be definitely having one for our Christmas countdown!
If you fancy doing something different this year … here’s a few ideas:
Our recent reading library proved very popular as an advent calendar.
Wrapping up each book, so that your child opens a book a day!
This new reading library can be used in the same way:
This 1000 sticker book could be used daily.
Children can place the stickers in the scenes as the text suggests or use them to decorate their own cards, letters, envelopes and drawings.
There’s 20 pages that could be used as a build up to christmas & on four days you could ask your children to draw their own scenes and place the stickers on them.
This ‘Christmas things to draw’ book can help improve your child’s drawing skills.
As a countdown to Christmas encourage them to draw one of their favourite pictures a day.
If you were to do this every year, wouldn’t it be lovely to look back in years to come and see how their drawing has improved!
You can see more of Usborne’s Christmas sticker books & activity books on page 203-205.
Be creative and think about how you can make the countdown to Christmas fun for your kids.
